Dear Colleagues, I have a pleasure to inform you that the REASON Tutorial Day Accompanying The Euromicro Symposium on Digital System Design - DSD'2002, Dortmund, Germany, September 3, 2002 is open for the pre-registration. Since Travel Grants are available and the participation fee will be minimal, the travel and participation costs will be very low! The REASON Tutorial Day is a collaborative action of the EUROMICRO (European Organization for Microelectronics and Information Technology - http://www.euromicro.org/) and Project REASON (Research and Training Action for System on Chip Design - http://reason.imio.pw.edu.pl/) in the scope of the European Communities Program IST (Information Society Technologies) of the Fifth Framework Program. The REASON Tutorial Day accompanying the DSD'2002 Symposium is composed of the following two half-day parts: 1. Hands-on Tutorial on System Level Modeling 2. Tutorial on Modern Circuit Synthesis for FPGA-based Re-configurable Systems. Descriptions of these two tutorials can be found on the REASON Web site http://reason.imio.pw.edu.pl/. The REASON Tutorial Day and the Euromicro DSD'2002 Symposium give a very good opportunity to learn about the hottest topics in digital circuit and system design! DSD'2002 is devoted to just to "Systems_on_Chip"! It is an excellent opportunity to come in touch with the hottest problems of the industry and their solutuions through listening to the keynote speakers from the top industry: Dr. Schlichtmann (Infineon), Dr. Wielage (Philips), Dr. Kronlof (Nokia) and Prof. Marwedel, and taking part in the Pannel Discussions! It is the place to meet researchers and scientists from all over the World! Don't miss this opportunity! The preliminary Program of the DSD'2002 Symposium is attached to this e-mail. To have a very low participation fee for the REASON Tutorial Day requires a pre-registration of the participants to the REASON Tutorial Day much in advance, i.e. immediately! The pre-registration is necessary to calculate the amout of fee that will depend on the number of the pre-registered participants. The pre-registered participants will be informed very soon about the precise fee amount. The pre-registration and participation fee is one and common to both tutorials of the REASON Tutorial Day. However, the number of places at the Hands-on Tutorial on System Level Modeling is limited to 16, and only the first 16 pre-registered participants will have the opportunity to participate in the Hands-on Tutorial. Therefore, pre-register to the Tutorial Day Accompanying the Euromicro DSD'2002 Symposium immediately by sending an e-mail to me: L.Jozwiak@tue.nl The pre-registration deadline is: June 10, 2002. Please, specify your name, afiliation, e-mail address and telephone number, so that I will be able to inform you about the participation fee and send you directly all successive information about the REASON Tutorial Day and the Euromicro DSD'2002 Symposium. I am also encouraging you to register to the Euromicro DSD'2002 Symposium before July 17th, 2002, to profit from a lower fee. The registration is already open. The on-line registration form for the Euromicro DSD'2002 Symposium (but not for the REASON Tutorial Day) can be found at the EUROMICRO web-page http://www.euromicro.org:8080/registration.php?event=DSD%202002 or http://www.euromicro.org/Upcoming.html Many Travel Grants are available to cover your travel expenses related to the REASON Tutorial Day and Euromicro DSD'2002 Symposium! The REASON actions are addressed not only to the REASON partners, and the Travel Grants are available also for non-partners! By considering grant applications priority is given to the participants from the Central and Eastern European Countries. Applications for Travel Grants should be submitted directly to Wieslaw Kuzmicz, by fax or ordinary mail only, filled and signed. These applications will be approved once the participant list of the REASON Tutorial Day accompanying the Euromicro DSD'2002 Symposium becomes closed. Now they will only be collected. Please use forms downloaded from the REASON Project Web site http://reason.imio.pw.edu.pl/ Wieslaw Kuzmicz can also send them to you via e-mail if you experience problems with downloading. Please find the contact information to Wieslaw Kuzmicz at the REASON web-page http://reason.imio.pw.edu.pl/ under CONTACTS. Be sure to pre-register immediately and to applay for a Travel Grant! With best regards, Lech Jozwiak Steering Committe Chairman of the Euromicro Digital System Design Symposium Organizer of the REASON Tutorial Day accompanying the Euromicro DSD'2002 Symposium
